Starting problems

Hi I have got a mk1 campaign and am having a few issues. The engine turns over catches then dies immediately. is this the fuel pump as i have only had this replaced very recently.

its hard to say for sure with that short description..

 does it make any difference if its hot or cold?
 can you kep it running using the throttle pedal?
 have you had it on a gas analyser to see what the mixture is doing when it dies?
 checked timing?
 checked igntion?
 checked injectors and metering head? accumulator?
 there are lots of basics to cover before someone can tell you its definitely this problem or that one…
