rebuild parts where from?

where is the best place to buy pistons,bearings and gaskets from to rebuild my engine as a 1900 ....... :dontknow:

I rang GSF at Trafford Park and the guy said they don't do em….I rang Big Boys Toys and am still waiting for them to come back to me…..i know someone who will do the engineering,rebore ,head skim, port and polish and that I just need to price/source the bits……………………….someone on here must have  done this recently,…………how much and where from?…………………….please.

I rebuilt my 1600 gti engine about a year ago bought all the parts genuine from V.A.G costs were;

Piston rings ?37.38 each
main bearings ?96.47 set
Oil pump ?81.91
Engine gasket set about ?80
Head gasket set about ?60

Thats a fair bit of wedge but would suggest geting the gasket sets from gsf as they are probably cheaper.

Try TSR performance.
I know they supply 1.9 engines complete or in kit form to build yourself,and i think you can buy pistons,rings etc individually.
