Carb jets and chokes???

Hi there. Does anyone know what would be the best chokes and jet sizes for fitting  twin webber 45's to a standard block 2.0ABF???
Thankyou

hi….not that I can help……but im currently doing the same conversion in my golf C and am having the same problem. My engine is a 1.8 KR bored out to 1.9.

And sorry to sound stupid but is there different chokes for the 45's??? I was told just to leave the chokes open constantly.

thanks

Know nothing about webbers but i think the choke mentioned has nothing to do with cold starting but is the size of the inner bore [interchangeable] but i could be mistaken.

First to be a smart arsh and say use your computer for something more then an expensive paper weight. I don't really mean to be a jerk, but rather hope saying it that way might give you the idea to search the Internet. There are lots of places that have formulas for doing just what you both are asking. Some, if I recall correctly, even just ask you to plug in the numbers and it gives you a set-up that should be close. "Close" is all you will get until it is up and running and some serious dyno or track testing can be done.

Yes, 45s have different choke sizes too, they all do except for some off-the-wall models and they might also. One of the biggest wrong moves people make when using Webers/Dells is to over size things. 45s are on the large size really for 1.8L engines that do not see high engine speeds often. I had 45s on a 1.8L 16v and swapped them over to 40s in a month or two. Most of your driving is at moderate engine speeds and the small amount of power you gain using larger carbs just does not matter if the driveability sucks.
