best engine oil for mk1 gti

hi , was just wonering what's the best oil to use on the mk1 gti ? my car has a a standard engine with a lot of extra power .

can I use fully synthetic ? ie gtx magnatec  , or am I better sticking to ?????

gtx magnatec or any nice thick 10/40w

use the synta stuff. it's pretty good oil. regular oil and filter changes are a bit more important than the oil itself. for my money, i'd rather spend £15 on a gallon of comma 10/40 and a £5 on an oil filter and do it twice a year, than £40 on mobile1/magnatec and do it once a year without changing filter.
