Auxiliary Air Valve timing
I have just removed my AAV (Bosch) and tested it with 12v supply.
It closes completely in 2.5 minutes, and when the voltage is removed it opens again completely in about 5 or more minutes. (difficult to determine exactly when opening is completed)
The resistance measured is 40 ohms.
When fully open, the aperture is a segment of less than 1/8th of the circumference of the bore.
Any comments please as to whether this represents reasonable operation.
(Haynes suggests about 5 min to close, and a resistance value of 30 ohms)
Thers is a nut on a threaded screw which appears to be an adjustor of some sort. Should it be tampered with?
