1800 Carb spec to 1800 Inj?

I have a Clipper on a Carb which i'm putting a 16v in.

Now, it is a low mileage lump and i'm going to use the engine in my Mk1 1.6GTI.  Now i havn't decided if i'm going to run Carbs on it or injection, but my question is what are the internal differences between the injection engine and the Carb engine? I presume the cam specs are different? What about compression ratio etc

The Cab is a '93
