What is going on!!!!!!

hay guys iv got a mk1 16v and I seem to be haveing some problemens. when I accelarate going around  a round about the car will start to  kangaroo as if its loosing air or something  it doesnt do it if I dont accelarate. not much of a mechanic so any help would be great.tom

at a guess it only does it  when the fuel tank is less than a 1/4 full, and once you straighten up it cures itself ???
have a read through old posts , it sounds like gravity valve or maybe aftermarket tank fitted without a baffle.

ye once iv starightned up it sorts itself out. nice one shall fill her up 2moro n give it a go.  what is that gravity thing your on about?

it's tucked up between the filler neck and the bodywork, have a read through the posts in the fuel section, others have found different cures to the  same problem. not as drastic as it feels, basicaly engine is being starved of fuel by either faulty acumulater, poor pressure in tank, or gravity valve acting up.
