Vac pipe

Hi there, I have an '87 1.6 carb cabriolet, I just fitted a 32/34 weber and would like to know where to put the vac pipe, I'm currently running it just loose lol! Is that bad! I'm having high idle issues too, could this be the cause or doesn't it make a difference? Thanks for any help

I know there is a post by peddersgolf but the pics don't show so it's not the most helpful lol! If those pics could be put back on it would be amazing lol
