simple question

is the fuel pump on a  1.8  carb engine  electric or  mechanical? and  what length should  the rod be  (if its mechanical)

No idea of the actual rod length


I think some later cars had a lift pump in the tank too, which is electic. But the car will still run if it doesn't work, if the tank isn't too low?
