Inlet manifold, throttle body covers & throttle cable kit - shouldn't be too different from standard until you open both chokes up, which you will !!  8)

Hi…

I'll try and help with a bit more.

You'll def need an inlet manifold, mounting plates and hardwear to mount the carbs and a twin carb linkage kit for a start. On top of that you'll need an electronic fuel pump, filter and pressure regulator, also some ram pipes and some kind of air filter.

I'm not sure what throttle body covers are???

The conversion for the 8v carb has a few issues to deal with. One big one is that the standard inlet manifold has water heating, the inlet for twins doesn't. I got round this issue with some metal putty and bit of extra tube over the hole left in the metal water pipe.

For the fuel pump you'll need to have some kind of electronic system in place as the mechanical job fitted by VW won't do the job. To run the pump correctly a GTI fuel pump relay would be needed.

Hope this helps a bit dude

Projekt Frustration :

White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!

Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
