Is this normal??

As you can see the temp guage is to far to the right, i.e. not at nominal temp. Now i have replaced the coolent after flushing it through, i have also changed the thermostat. The fan works and there are no leaks. The guage seems to vary between this position shown in the image and nominal irrespective of speed.

any ideas?

cheers

Mate, what do you mean temp guage too far to the right??? looks to be running a bit cool to me i.e. left. This could be your engines 'normal' working temp but certainly looks ok

So long as it goes to about 1/4 way or more once warm, and that the fan kicks in when its hot, I'd not worry. The gauges and their sensors sometimes go inaccurate with age.

Mine sits in the middle!

Although there is quite alot of weirdness sometimes.

Like I had 5 people in the car, went passed the light by about 1mm, and the fan never kicked in :dontknow:

Yet in traffic, fan kicks in before it even passes the light!!!

Weird eh?
