Clipper 1.8 carb to 1.8 8v gti

Can anyone give me some advice on what is involved in swapping my 1.8 carb engine for a 1.8 8v gti engine. I would imagine the mounts are in the same place but would there be much wiring involved?

How long have you had the clipper?

Lots of changes on the fuel system, not too much wiring (but enough that you'll need bits of a GTI loom), and plenty of other little differences all round.

Compared to installing in a small block tin top where its easier to list whats the same rather than the differences, its should be relatively straight forward swapping a 1.8 carb to a GTI. However its would be even easier to buy a GTI and sell the Clipper.
