Abyone help re: ignition coils for a 1988 1.6 petrol???

I dunno about the ballast resistor bit.  I've seen people call the dim/dip resistor what I always thought was the ballast -least my resistor hasn't got anything to do with the lights last time I put a DMM on it anyway.

I'm struggling to get rid of a mis-fire (before anyone suggests anything -the coil is just about the last thing to do).  BUT all I can get is for electronic ignition.  Last coil I got was sold to me for points but when I back-checked when it ran even worse, it's for electronic ignition agan!

I contacted these bigboystoys guys the other week asking whether this was suitable for a 1.6p 1988 with points NOT electronic but never heard back since.  Not sure about them now as they never replied since.

Can anyone confirm whether this is the right coil as I'm out of options now.  The only other product code I was given was a GSF one but they won't deliver to an address diffrent from a registered card address so I'm screwed cos I work away so much and taking stuff at home is a write-off.

BUMP -anyone got any ideas?  I went to post this up in the electrical section just now but for some reason I can't see any way to create new posts on the forum today.  Can only just reply to this one?

are you 100% sure it has points? I was pretty sure points were banished from the VAG range in 85ish

Maybe the Caddys lagged a bit behind the rest of the range as 88's have points.  I got the coil anyway -didn't totally cure my intermittant mis fire but a bit better I think.
