1.5 gl and weber 32/34 dmtl, can it be done
My car is a 1.5 carb with manual choke, manual gearbox. i put a pic up and the carb has been identified as a 32/34 dmtl.
whats the cheapest and easiest way to fit this to my car?
where will i get new jets from and which ones do i need?
sorry for the noob questions but i really dont have a clue with this stuff.
i have tried the search but only get results for 1.3 and 1.6/8, is this a sign that this carbs not a good idea for my car :dontknow:
thanks in advance.
off to update my build thread now 8)

can get the jets from the same place..
cheapest and easiest way to fit would be outside your house, easy job if you have a socket set
Take it easy ; )

you could put a 1.6 manifold on if you have one - fiddly to do with the head in place though..

the direct replacement carb for your 1.5 engine is a Weber 36TLP but you can make the 32/34 DTML fit with an adaptor plate, listed here

i just looked at this adapter plate and its 'two bolts' to connect to the manifold. but they have 3 bolts that secure the carburettor down? very confused :/
i need to do this conversion badly

I was told by someone at Fast Road Cars that the adaptor plate won't fit due to the bolt pattern.
Has anyone tried the method using a MK2 inlet manifold? I'm tempted too but unsure which manifold it is I need.
