AGM 2015 Organiser Team needed

Post

Now that we're pushing on with organising AGM 2015 and given that we've grown year-on-year, we're in need of help organising and running next year's event.

Areas that will need assistance will include on the gate on the Sunday, in the merchandise tent, parking attendants and show n shine judging.

Therefore, we would like to ask now for volunteers who can genuinely commit to help out not just on the weekend, but in the planning stages of the AGM too.

We'll be having a meeting in the Midlands area February/March time and you'd need to be available for that also.

So, would you like to get involved and be part of the making of AGM 2015? You'll get a very funky and unique club t-shirt and bags of thanks for your effort. Maybe you can throw some new ideas in to the ring too as we're always willing to listen.

Volunteers need to be current paid members and for at least the last 6 months.

If you're interested then please PM one of the Committee and make yourself known.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy, I don't know if it has been thought about or suggested before but there seems to be an issue every year with people loosing their way on the drive out! If it is needed and legally allowed I am happy to make some simple arrows with the Mk1 Golf OC logo on them to guide people around the specified route! I can then do the route at approximately 9pm on Friday 10th July putting signs up along the way!  Is this something that you would be interested in me doing?

LOL - that's already done at every junction, every year. Anna and Elv (and I think Glen) typically put them up.

Me thinks new glasses are needed

Thanks for the suggestion though

 :o I'm so blind! Haha!
Well I can't commit to anything else yet because I think I will be working flat out to get Goly back on the road for this year's drive out as I've only managed to do one so far. I will keep an eye out for the signs!
Good luck with the search for help and hopefully see you there.

Lol, made me giggle! I'm thinking fluorescent signs for this year! Some help actually being in the middle of the drive out cars would be good to try and get half the cars to do the route

Wish I had time to help out. But at the moment I'd rather not let anyone down………even getting to the AGM is going to be a last minute decision.

More help needed please!! If the show keeps growing year-on-year we just wont be able to cope with the demand - and certainly don't want to be in a position of not putting the meet on due to lack of help on the day.

So please, on bended knee, can anyone else devote some time on the Sunday to help out please

Oh how I wish I could help but not this year.
It is in the plans for next.

Once again as this year's driving season gets ready to kick off and I know I can't be there and start to get depressed when start reading all about the AGM.

So only one thing for it.
Go home, kiss the dog, and kick the wife.

No there's something wrong there!
See what I mean it's started already.  O_o

All joking aside.
I'm sure we'll find a few more willing helpers.

What do you need help wise on the Sunday.

As per first post really project1

Jobs will most likely be allocated on the weekend but if anyone can spare an hour or two on the Sunday as that's the busiest workload it would be greatly appreciated. Will be mostly for marshalling car park, show n shine judging and working on the gate.

Help also required from regional hosts or anyone wanting to get more involved with regional meets. Plans in the making for people to display there car on the Sunday, for those not wanting to do show and shine. Good committee meeting yesterday and we have some more ideas about getting regions together.
