Vr6 conversion

Hi all, im just about to do the deed, just wondered if theres anyone that mite be able to give me some do's and donts etc incse theres anything i over look, i have the complete vr6 car to transplant all i need, planing on welding in the subframe off the mk3 on to the mk1 and keeping all the running gear and brakes etc, pics will follow shortly, any advice greatly recieved

have made a start, the 16v engine that previous owner put in is now out, got some more stripping to do, then its time to label up the vr6 and start the dismantling

VR6 is a hard conversion compared to the others I beleive  :dontknow: .  This looks like a brilliant project hope it goes well as it looks like you really have your work cut out

heres some pics of tonights work, just the wiring and dash to sort out and the rear axle, then its time to drive the vr6 in next to mk1 and start the hard part :cry:

hello dubber, how did you mount the engine? did you use the subframe? or weld in brackets?

I'm in heaven a vr6 lump in a mk1 is making me to excited

Hello all, been a while but managed to crack on and start stripping down the mk3 and start transfering the bits, few pictures, just got the subframe mounted into postion and started to weld in  the mounts

Looks like a good one to get your teeth into I can't decide which route to go down with mine VR6 or 18T so I'll look forward to seeing how you get on
