Puf the magic 'wagen
After reading the ad I fell in love with the car, and went to pick the car up from Barnsley. Alas, no ticket or tax meant a trailer had to make an appearance too.

Got it back to our uni house, stored entirely appropriately!

On to MOT fail items after that. New shoes;

Rot

I figured if the inner wings need doing might as well replace the fornt panel too.

Head gasket needed doing.

Water pump did not want to come out…

"New" pump looked rustier than the old one! Still works at least

Bonnet's getting the same treatment as the front panel.

Left a sticker on before painting specifically to peel afterwards. I reckon it's worked

Should be passing its MOT this coming week ready for the final round of shows!

Build's looking good Grant, I have to keep resist buying revos. There's a set of revo splits on edition at the moment worth more than the car but they're lurvly…

Minor problems on the motorway:

the end of the throttle cable that holds it on the carb pinged off while I was passing a car. Yay.
A spade connector and a pair of pliers later…

Bingo! makeshift throttle cable.
A photo once it got back to my friend's house where the work's happening, and then pics during the day!

There's still a bit more welding to do which should get finished tomorrow.
Finally, a quick reassembly to get an idea of what the front end will look like.

A massive thank you to Rich (fastmk1) for doing the welding for me.

We spent most of the afternoon just looking at this:

But despite the rain we finally had a result.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow
