Right finally fitted my ebay bargain coilovers and what a difference! Wow wasn't expecting it to handle so much better. After the first set up it was so low that we couldn't get it off the lift at the garage 8O Anyway nearly right now, just need to drive it a bit to sort final few tweaks out.
You can see how much it's been lowered from the pics! Anyway what do you critics think?

Then changed the rims and fitted a debadged grille.

Now im confused…….in pic one you have 4 stud wheels and pic 2 you have 5 stud wheels……..i take it you did a conversion???

Yeah in the original pic, it has the standard VW 15" Le Castellet alloys. But I decided to fit 16" Porsche Design 90's. They do indeed have 5 studs, you need to fit hub adaptors to convert it from 4 stud to 5 stud. Heres a pic,







Very similar in appearance, yet different and keeping up with the trends.

Here's another pic I found with my mates S2000. He's the one who had the Integra Type R and where I saw the red recaros. Note the pic was taken before I fitted my recaros, crystal crosshairs, smoked indicators & A pillar trims.

Wow, haven't updated this for a while.

1. Changed rear lights and fitted a Rabbit GTI badge that I made.



2. Here's how it looks at the mo. New smoked crystal cross hair headlights.



3. I've got a private plate waiting to go on, can't put them on until christmas day as they are a present.



4. I'm going to take off the Design 90's and put the original Le Castellets back on, was getting annoyed with how fast the polished finished dulled. Probably lower the front by an extra 10mm in the process as well.

I changed the headlights & grille pretty much straight away but didn't notice too much of a difference.  :dontknow: Well I think that they're alrigh to drive with now, you'll get used to it pretty quick. The ebay coilovers seem to be very good for the price. When I fitted them first, it was so low that I couldn't get it off the ramp arms!  8O But there is loads of adjustment. I'm actually gonna raise it up again this weekend, just low enough to get a trolly jack underneath. The handeling is fansatic  :mrgreen:

I had the same problem with mine, I left it low though and bought a motorsport trolley jack off ebay and its slides under a treat. Only cost ?109.00, made of alloy, real piece of kit and it has a really good lifting range to.

Sorry bloke, not for sale. If I sold them, i'd only kick myself and end up buying another set!! :mrgreen: Mind you, I do like your Ronal turbos, couldn't bear to get rid of the design 90's but the Ronals would come a very close 2nd. They look sweet as on your cabby.

I was thinking of getting the design 90's chromed? In the hope that they keep the polished look for longer. EXPENSIVE! Then use them for show use and leave the Le Castellets on.

Le Castellets back on  :cry: They look so small compared to the Design 90's.

Latest addition, wooden steering wheel with Porsche horn button  :mrgreen: In the hope of eventually getting a cream leather interior, I started to assemble the wooden trim thats going to compliment the cream leather. I'm going to make the wooden door top trims myself, as i'm a wood work teacher that shouldn't be a problem. What do you think? good start or what?  :mrgreen:

Got to say it looks wicked been looking at them wheels for a while but not sure how you go about fitting them.I no you need a 5 stud adaptor kit seen a few on the net but not sure which it the best place to get them from.As for the wheels did you get the standard porsche wheels as the rears are slightly wider than the front or did you just get two front sets and what tyres are you running 195 45 16 cheers kurt

I bought the hub adaptors off ebay a couple of years ago for ?100. 2 x ?50 sets. Can't remember the make, but they're 20mm thick and come with allen headed bolts to bolt to the hubs. The bolts that come with the kit to bolt the Porsche rims on wern't the best, the heads were a bit short, so I ended up using the VW ones' The Porsche rims are 2 sets of fronts all the same width, alomg with the 20mm hub adaptors, theres been absolutly no rubbing what so ever. And i've slammed the coilovers and it's got the clipper style kit aswell. I wouldn't mind getting some wider rears and polishing them to match mine! The tyres are indeed Toyos 195/65/16's, I got them from www.camskill.co.uk for ?50 a corner.

sorry to be a pain but what are they 6j or 7j  as i no some one who has some forsale local bloke and i need to no im buying the right ones what the max you can go regards kurt

think there porsche concept 90 16" plus you need 4 stud pcd converters to make them 5 stud like them myself

Mine are 7j, still wouldn'tmind some wider ones for the rear :mrgreen:

I know, but since i've see others running the wider rears, i've thought i've got to have them. It's hard finding just 2 rears tho, especially without any kurbing! If you know of any, let me know!
