My Old Mk1 Project from the 90's

Just saw someone else on here put up their 90's project.  This was mine that I put together in about '99.  Unfortunately I hit hard times and had to sell it on in 2006.  I've missed it to this day!  On a recent check on the DVLA website, I see that it is now red.  It's a shame, because it looked fantastic in Black…

In '99 I used to think this car looked awesome with the OZ Superturismos fitted.  Just wondering what people think of them on a mk1 these days?  Any comments welcome!

I certainly felt like it back in those days.  Yes that is Bournemouth Beach on a Sunny February day 14 years ago.  I'd just picked the car up after it had been resprayed and had the new wheels fitted.  If you look carefully you can see the old tarantula wheels on the back seat!

Are you local to Bournemouth? Tsw Hockenheims were nice rims back in the day. A mate of mine had a white GTI with a set of those on.

TSW Hockenheims I remember those. People used to get very excited about those rims years ago.

Yeah I live in Christchurch.  I've always lived in the Poole and Bournemouth area.  Yes the pics were taken in Baiter Park on the same day.  I wanted to attempt Artistic shots!

OZ Saturn and Polaris

I do miss those Oz Superturismos. They looked great back then. Considering getting another set for my current mk1. 

Mine in the 90s  -yes those are Audi wheels    I drove it til summer 2011, but here -they salt the roads in the winter…




The wheels on the first post reminded me of my old "Rabbit".
