mk1 rooi golf

My new project.
started with this


then got a new shell

and started fixing all the dents and rust slaped a couple of layers of paint on the shell


fitting new parts

checking wat mod can be done.

Mod planned so far.
moving the batt to the back(to make space for the aircooler)
Rear disk from a mk2
Remove the back seat and replace with a single seat in the middle
roll cage
racing seats x3 with harness
custom sound box x2 12"sub (starsound 2800w dvc with a 5000w duel power amp)
2l 16v motor and gearbox
sc12 supercharger
2 tone paint (red and black)
strut braces front and rear
shaved rear door handels and boot

still a lot 2 do.

Duidelik and bookmarked!!!  8) Nice to see a fellow Saffer on here! My car is on here somewhere… Keep on going dude, looks like you know what you are doing! I'd love to do such a project, but my car is my daily so I can't have her looking too stripped ;) I had to fix a leak that caused my whole drivers side to flood! Damn clutch cable mounting on the firewall caused it to crack and wouldn't you know there is a crack in the gutter above it  :x Enough of me, keep the progress coming!

thanks
this was my friends kar he was driving and the left front cv broke. so he hit a tree. so bought it and started working. i dont know much about body work so dis is trail and error.

got some new clocks 4 it

still have a lot of planning 2 do will use the the other stock dash if this 1 isnt completed in time.

hope i can  get it fitted with the intercooler

still more parts 2 be cleaned and refitted

need 2 finish the bootlid and rear doors this week i hope

and thats that 4 today

the weekend i could not do much so this what i got done till today



my worker sanded down the kar and bootlid have no pic yet. the 1 door handels are shaven out.
filled all the small holes up with spot putty will sand it down tomorrow, and fit the bootlid. still need to figure out how to allign the doors.

so shaving the rear door handels didnt go as planed. the weather is cloudy today so not much to do, did plastic primer the front bumper. hope the weather is nice the weekend to spray it. still deciding on the 2 tone pattern. have pic will up load them later

got a new colour for the back part.





i mixed the paint wrong and have a lot of runs to take out. to get all the doors and bootlid right took a lot longer the was planned for.
