Getting started on the body.

Then abit of colour, i went with mk5 golf candy white.

Then home, and a quick fit of the wheels, 13x8s.

Started taking tiny rust spots back to bare metal underneath then rust treating and re-undersealing all underneath and wheel arches, get some pics of the underseal on soon.

Cleaned up an re-sprayed filler neck

Cleaned up rear axle bushes, re-sprayed and polybushed

Re-sprayed my inlet and rocker cover

Cleaned, por 15'd the little rusty bits and re-painted gti tank.

Took the rear axle off to be galvanised, re-built the rear brake setup with all new parts, shoes, bearings, drums, cylinders etc.

Brake bar stripped and re-painted

Abf engine, just taken the power steering pump and brackets etc off, just cleaning up the engine fitting new cambelt, tensioner and waterpump soon. Just finding a couple of mounts and i can put it in the bay!

Just a few of my parts mountain thats building up!
Brakes

New bottom arms, polys, braided hoses

New clutch

New coilies (rears are on already) and strut tops

Also anyone got the clips that go on the handy cables here and hold them into the backing plate?

Thats all the pics i can find so far, gives a rough idea of where im up too really just resto'ing all the bits i can and building the parts pile untill i can get them all fitted. Anyway i'll update as i go along now and thanks to everyone who's helped me with parts knowledge so far on here.
