hi this is my 1983 mk1 gti campaign that i got given to me from my mums friend, its been off the road since 1994  and now has come into the hands of me it is in really good nick to say its been in the barn and off the road for this many years, im stayin orig on everything no after market parts on this baby, just like my caddy all vw pics u will see of the rust is all thats on there

thanks mate yea keep it original all the way i say theres not tht much rust on it tbh sayin its been in a barn for that many years only had one owner aswel lol

i pulled a gx out of a drive last year, been stood since 92, looked pretty nasty in places but wasnt as bad as the owner thought, spare wheel well gone in the same place as yours and the sills were a bit dodgy, mostly rock solid

right iv got it started to day and the engine lookin clean again.... i now need a new fuel tank is its clogged up with tar shit from gone off fule lol but she runs smoothhhh

I used to have one like yours many years ago,I gave up in the end

TANK? did ya i love it man im just lookin for a accumulator valve with the pipes now to get it running propley now then get all the running gear done if u see any coilovers forsale anywere

Good find but sorry to say a LOT of cutting & welding required there. Not a campaign model as stated, these were all A + plates and EW chassis

right im bk not much has been done to the golf i have it running put new fuel tank new pump new acc valve, done the head water pump crank seal, new intjecter pipes and injecters, got all the body parts i need now so engine is cummin out to be cleaned and dressed up n cam it Aswel. slowly getting there,
