As an engineering exercise then great idea and I take my hat off to you. But what sort of weight does all this stuff add to a Mk1 ?? Quite substantial I'd assume..

It don't matter if it add 25-50kg to the weight…

Now me and the wife are serperating im now forced into getting the shell done way faster than i had hoped may think it's a good thing but it not, im having to spend extra money on stuff which i really cant afford to be doing..
Anyway here is some pics..
Inside car arch after i had modded the outside, pretty good tbh
Hanging Bracket, well it's now done but dont have a pic yet lol
Support bar
Tunnel section that had to be blocked off
Unseal all off, rubbed down and will paint some fresh on..

99% of the seam sealer removed, glad i did also a nice little repair job ive got todo but i knew that bit was bad, last pic show drivers side not it has been done now, what a pain getting that off lol
Fingers crossed will go for a shot blast tomorrow but looking at the weather it's looking like it's not going to happen

Finally on 2 wheels lol thou i am concerned atm to why its sitting so high, i know there is not much weight atm but still its very high…

Probably look a bit better with the fronts on too, my car doesn't look too much higher than that atm tbh

That's loads high than mine with standard suspension,did you raise the rear turrets yet.but great work keep the updates coming.
