Atleast the back end of the car looks solid from the photos

What are your plans?
I remember you asked about wings on my project thread, i see why now! But anothere member posted an interesting comment on page 3 of my thread about making pattern wings fit better, maybe of interest to you when you come to get some, if you find you got crap ones like me! Haha
Good luck with it

The plans is a almost standard restoration maybe some more modern light units. I will be getting the bodywork done first and remove engine before it goes to spray shop giving it a good going over while car is away.
She is going to be used when done just well looked after,
With ongoing smaller work after that ( suspension, etc)
thank lee

Started to strip engine ready for removal before borrowing an engine lift and a mate to give a hand.

One thing we should have done was attach the lift on the far left of engine so the gearbox would hang down at an angle and make it easier to get out of the engine bay.

I took a bit off the inner edge of the mount piece and also ground the tacks off, releasing it from the wing and adjusted it until it fitted nicely and re-tacked it. I had to cut a bit out of the top to get it to line up nicely around the bottom of windscreen also.
Let us know how you get on

Also Rosie is back from welding with new front panel

Went to see a man who can about the paint job he has even lent me a air sander with pads to rub the engine bay down and will then lend me one of his paint guns so I can paint the bay put engine back in then take it to him for the full respray.
So that's now the new plan
Remove front suspension and brake servo etc
Clean and refurb parts
Sand engine bay
Clean and stone chip inner wings
Paint engine bay
Refit engine etc
Take for full respray
Started removing the black wax oil from inner wings today glad ill only be doing this once

I haven't done anything with the wings yet one is still a little out I'm going to let the body shop sort them out I think.

Ive still just got one sitting on the car and the other off, until ive got the engine in as then i'll be hiding the wiring behind the wing.
Keep at it and good luck
