Mad Golf Desease.... This Golf got the worst out of me......

 Here is the reason why I'm in hiding. 16v Turbo Mk1   Untill she runs…..

Still Some work left. Hopefully she will Start tomorrow.  This is my first attempt n a Golf. I'm an Toyota and Fiat man, so lets see what the Golf can do :wink:

Jip is a Citi Body with the Polo Dash. Took me 10 minites to do the Dach Conversion

Turbo is a T66.

whats a dach? i can do a dach in 9mins 56secs

Can do the dash in 10 mins ?  Fancy doing mine for me, one will pay of course.  What mk polo is used for the dash conversion?  :roll:

South Africa is the only country in the worl that Still manufactures the Mk1 Golf.

The new Mk1 Golf here by us has these Dashbaords in.

All you do is bend the current old Dash brakets thats on the side and cut away a small bit out of the steering colomn bracket to fit the cluster.

Some srews and bolts and there you go.

So is it an actual polo dash or a Citi dash? Are the clocks straight out of a Citi aswell? If it's this easy I might have a go! 8O

its out of a Citi... the Clocks are too. Easy peasy Job.

I take it that the dash was already in the Citi when you bought it. Hens teeth aswell I bet.

I got the Dash on Gumtree. The owner of the Citi rolled the car and broke the car up for spares and sold the bits and pieces.

I dont thing you will find one like this in UK… Best bet is to source a polo dash and make it fit

where is that fuel filler cap from?

we use the same on our aircraft in the raf

Its called a Aeromotive Tank Seal Unit. its the same as the AirCraft.

You will find it maybe is one of your local Tuner Parts Shops.

here is an Update on the Golf

Every little thingy is finnished on the Build. She just need to go back to the panelshop for toutch-ups , flat, and Polish.

Next week I'll take her for engine and Chassis Clearance and then Roadworthy and registration….

I can see mee driving All of X-mas day in my X-mas Box…….
