LHD 1.3 Cab project

Finally I can get this project under way, after 10 years of ownership, one child, a wedding, two houses and five years at university  8O  I will have SOME    time to dedicate to the cause!!

1.3 HK engine with K&N filter

arches look good after removing spats

lowering springs fitted 9 years ago, only done 100 miles, 90 miles was done on a trailer  :)

underneath looks solid, lots of under seal present, lets hope it is not hiding any nasty surprises :dontknow:

Have removed exhaust manifold, radiator fan and cam cover ready for refurbishment.
Weather, time and wife permitting I will update accordingly

Doesn't time fly when your raising a family and man's plans tumble further and further down the list of priorities.WELL…..no more. The foot has come down, and I'm getting down to business, Cabrio business. Have spent a couple of hours removing the interior. I am pleasantly surprised with the condition of the floor, considering it has been sat for so long!

Poor car………looking very sorry.

The wheel well was full of water!

Thoughts,advice and opinions welcome!

TBH, I was dreading stripping the inside O_o. I was imagining a whole heap of welding. Going to continue with removing the rear arch spats and rear lights. Hoping for more luck:D.

More removing of parts from the cabby.

A spot of rust where it looks like it has had a knock.

Over all not bad on this side:)
Rear corner needs a small repair.

Wheels that I have taken off.

l

Passenger side rear arch has had a botched repair.O_o
A bit more rust, not too bad though.

Petrol filler pipe looks in OK condition.
13 inch wheels that came with the car.
