Inari Silver 16v Mk1
After selling this

And then buying and selling (for a stupid price):

I really wanted another mk1. Had seen one, it sold the day before i sold the mk2

So here it is

The pictures make it look better than it is

Spec atm is 1.8 16v conversion with an ashley 4 branch into a 2" stainless system ,g60 280mm front brakes,1.6 8v gear box ,fk coilovers, 13 row oil cooler, 22mm master cylinder and servo.
Few things wrong with it. headlights don't work. Wipers dont work, might be the wiper stalk. And i need to replace the ignition switch as when you turn the key it can go too far and start the starter motor again.
Other plans are to just tidy it up, new bumpers, arch trims, new headliner and mirrors, parcel shelf, rear doorcards. And then paint in the future as it's really letting it down at the moment, and fit a radio as it currently doesnt have one. Then wheels and some suspension.
Main reason i bought it is because i wanted the colour. Pretty rare colour and even rarer to find one in good condition as they seem to turn into rot boxes more than any other mk1 colour

Won't be using it for abit till the smaller jobs are done and making sure it doesnt break so got a poopty mk3 golf  to run around in.
So if anyone has a good condition front bumper they want to donate to the cause then i'm more than happy to take it off your hands

While fixing this I've four a few random wires that just dont connect anywhere, one that looks like my horn as that's not working.
Still need to fix the wipers and sort the headlights out as they only work on full beam.
Also I've got no audio

I don't have any door pins either do can't lock the car from the inside. Fingered around near where the vertical pin should be but there's nothing there :/ how hard is it gonna be to resolve this?
ATM just trying to sort the issues that are stopping me using it so the smaller jobs of arches and bumpers can wait for now.
I need a new steering wheel though. Hate the one on it, how much is a gti wheel? Would like a Wolfsburg one but Sod paying £100 atm.

Anyway. I got an auto electrician in to sort out the electrics. He fixed my headlights/sidelights/full beam. Got all my wipers working. My horn didnt work and he couldnt get an earth on the steering wheel so he just made me a button at the minute, just so I'm legal. Still after a gti wheel or a w olfsburg one though.
Just have to fit a new battery now and then i can actually drive it.
Still after a few parts. As per my previous post i need a part of the locking mechanism that my door pins screw on to (so i can lock the car from the inside) as i dont have anything sticking up through the hole but no idea what to search for to look to buy the parts? need it for both doors.
Still need a new bumper. Also need the bars for the roof that helps with the rooflining i need fitting. and a parcel shelf and parcel shelf supports

so there we go. Absolutley love the colour and one of the reasons i had to buy it. Shame it's got a sunroof as i was looking for ones without one but nm, hopefully it wont leak.

What's happening ATM?Newscuttlepanel said
Bit of a thread resurrection but I bought it from Danny at the back end of '12, ran it for a couple of years, currently in the workshop getting a bit of attention.
You got any more pictures by any chance? Really considering this colour for an upcoming project
