Car is starting to take shape now mate, keep up the good work. Take your time, welding the body panels as they can warp very easily. I took the same advice here on the forum and it's paying off! I've been on nearly 10 hours welding a new outer arch and it's still not finished, it's not warped though!

its embaressing at how long it has been since iv updated this. i have been working on the car and have plenty of pictures to come. i bought an impreza (dont hate, always wanted one!) in august and it was nothing but trouble for the first few weeks and i spent alot of time sorting that! im also getting married this saturday and that takes a shed load of your time and effort! stay tuned, im on it!
btw, met a few mk1oc people at the nec car show saturday, was great to meet you, very friendly and welcoming.

Don't be embarrassed, my resto's taken 5 years so far!!

Just read your thread and there's some great work going on, impressive

some bits have been powder coated







maybe too much slip!



had to make an anti roll bar bracket because the car only came with one!?!


these have both been powder coated but cant find a picture!























this is finished now for the inner part. aint got a picture though. everything is levelled up and welded properly

onto the other side



now i checked, checked and triple checked and measured again and came to the conclusion that the panel supplied was not the right size. so i had to add a little bit to get it lined up. hope im right!









this is pretty much where it is at the moment. next challenge is the arches on both sides, pockets and rear panel. along with everything else!!!

some new bits i got aswell.





not so new but its solid and needs a trim







thats it for tonight! cant take this computer lark much more!!

It wouldn't be the first repair panel that isn't quite right so I'm sure your measuring was spot-on

Helped my old man fix his door today so not as much as i would have liked to have done!
flipped the car over and finished welding the rear leg
