good thing out of it i went and bought a mk 1 caddy i been after one for a few years it looks ruff but its fairly solid except the bed im doing that one hemi orange same colour as the genral lee,im either going to fit a 1.8 8v gti engine or g60 it.

Yo Dudes, nice car, like the wheels. Have you replaced the rear bumper on the car? I got an 83 gl and the chrome trim on the rear bumper has gone black and lets the car down, have,nt seen any for sale anywhere, any ideas??

1983 1.5gl cabriolet in yellow, its the nuts!

Not the neatest job but he repaired both sills, fitted front and rear panels, rear arch and repaired both rear chassis legs for £250 to its ok.
then the filler came out  :x

there has been lots and lots of filling/sanding/filling/sanding and to be honest im sick of it.

so i treated it to a BBS spoiler for the front  :redfaced:

have you spotted my single lamp too  8)

i sanded the splitter down and got started on the door.

then my mate (worth on here) turned up in this

and iv just done a couple of bits and bobs since then.
iv bought a weber (possibly the wrong one  :redfaced: ) and a few other things i cant remember.

the plan was to be on the road this summer but thats been swept aside now with other commitments but all being well it will see christmas. seems ages off but there is a lot to do and not much spare time with kids work and everything else.
its a marathon not a sprint  :P

just enjoying being back in a mk1 even if it is sitting in the garage haha!

Im ashamed to admit i havent been on here for a while but i think im about to get involved a bit more. i have made a few purchases for the car and am almost in a position where i can think about painting it.
not done a lot but have stacked some cool parts.
i need to prioritise the workload but within the next few months she will be low, will be painted, will be running right and will be electrically sound. i hope
