79' resto

i bought this about a year ago. and havent done alot since due to not having alot of space and any power, after a year of looking i finally found somewhere 2 store her. she needs a fair bit of welding so im hopefully getting a welder in the nxt couple of weeks so can get 2 grips with welding :lol:  and start getting it all welded up. poking around so far theres a fair bit of rust in the inner wings and odd bits here and there.

her new home:

started taking the sound deading off the floorpans i found the easiest way was to cut it into squares and then use a chisel knife and a hammer to chisel it off, hopefully should get this all finished by the weekend;

Well you certainly have plenty of space! What are your plans for it?

Looks good so far 8)

Try a heat gun on the sound deadening on the floors - you may find it easier than chiselling the stuff off. Either way it's a long and tedious process!

eventually once the weldings done im thinking of putting either a 2.0 16v on twin weber 45's or a g60 in her, new interior from newton and keep her looking fairly standard from the outside. ive got the mecanical skills of a fish so its probably gonna take me a fair while to learn to weld etc :D  but hopefully il get there in the end.

i got the passenger side footwell clear at last. i found a small hole but its nothing serious. then after getting a angle grinder this week i took the front panel off and cut the battery tray out. the inner wings are pretty shot but ive got a donor shell im using for the panels.

the list of weldings getting bigger!

both inner wings need welding
the fuel filler surround
both rear inner arches
both rear outer arches
hole in pas footwell
new front panel
and a few odd holes here and there.
