1982 1.6 GTI Tintop

Here are a few pics of my car after i gave it a good polish clay and sealant hope you all like. She was totally restored every nut and bolt brand new and since then has done 21k. the last picture wa from when i put it on pistonheads for sale for about half an hour then realised i couldnt do it love her too much lol

Love it mate. Alleycats set it off beautifully. Have you considered maybe replacing the duck bill for a cl lip so you can drop the front end a bit more. I really do prefer the larger gti item but with smaller wheels it makes it very difficult to get the ride height low enough on the front end.

yeh i have considered that the only thing is i went lower than it is now the other day and went over a pot hole and smacked my sump and spent yesterday putting a new sump on didnt even touch the splitter and i kept hitting my wish bones aswell so cant really go much lower :)

well not updated this thread in a while but been working on my caddy here is the spec and few pics hope you all like ;)1989 VW CADDY MK1 1.9 TDI 1Z ENGINE CONVERSION


ENGINE:

1.9 TDI taken from a donar golf mk3
new cambelt kit fitted, new water pump
heater plugs changed
front mount intercooler with polished aluminium piping and blue silicone hoses
k&n air filter
custom twin stainless steel exhaust
Hydraulic clutch conversion


suspension, brakes, wheels:
brand new discs and pads to front
new rear wheel cylinders to both sides
new wheel bearings to both sides rear
full new copper brake lines front to back
new rear brake shoes
coilover suspension to front with axle flip and 2'' blocks with shorten shocks
Audi a8 Polished winters

Fueling:
brand new fuel lines return and feed
fuel tank has undergone a full restoration by the process called re-nu undertaken by autocool radiators





Body
painted in vw slate grey and finished with 5 coats of clear
undersealed. sills have been stoneguarded
underneath of bed has been fully sealed
brand new door hinges and pins to both doors
both front wings have been replaced
new mk2 gti front bumper with chrome trim
brand new windscreen
new rear sliding window
chrome flag mirrors not in pics
custom bed cover with hydraulic rams
fully replaced bed and rear arches
mint condition tailgate
original front grill with chrome vw badge
 fiberglass rear roll pan

Interior:
fully re carpeted inside with thick pile gell lined carpet
insulated footwells and floor with sound deadening
custom doorcards with chrome pull handles and window winders
gti arm rests and grab handles
leather gear gaitor and handbrake gaitor
wooden gear knob
wooden 3 spoke chrome momo steering wheel with boss and centre horn
red leather alfa romeo seats

i need to change the blue silicone hoses but it all takes time ;)

Oh that looks nice, really clean looking Caddy. My son would kill you to have that!!  :lol:
