1977 Golf LD

Hi,

My name is Michel, I'm from the Netherlands and just found this forum on google.
I was looking for information on my freshly purchased 1977 Golf LD.
It seems this car is one of the oldest surviving diesels as it is manufactured in oct. 1976.

Sadly some people did some modifications in the past.
Few are: wiper switch, front panel and other metal parts…
Where can I find information of what is original for the modelyear '77?

Hi welcome to the club looks like its in good condition body wise i cant help you with the information maybe attend a few meets and see what looks standard maybe find an old info pack for your model

Hi, Thanks but it is worse than it seems. Lot of parts have been changed in the past.
I have a 75 donorcar for my 74 golf wich I can take parts off.
Are the frontpanels (parts like hoodcatch plate (don't know the exact words for this)) of a 75 and a 77 alike?

Does someone have pictures of a 77 front?

Meanwhile the 77 is waiting for resto… still have a couple of others to go first.
