put some lowered springs and wheels on it for her

but she decided she wasnt keen on it and she fancied a polo and so the slippery slope was greased…….

but the distributor died

although they were a bit dirty

cleaned up fairly decent though

finally got them on

but the camber needed was a bit mental

made up some door liners out of binbags due to a leak

and picked up some fun bits and new bits

freshened it up and finally straightened the wonky indicator that had been annoying me

but I was mainly throwing wheels on and off while I had a lot of fun in it(ported head and cams, lightened and balanced, four branch and a jetex rallye…)

had my 15s on it for a while

but swapped it up when I got bored

or the weather got bad

then it took a back seat while I worked hard for a while………

and got side tracked with a few dailies that turned into projects

and jobs that left me no time for much play

then decided enough was enough!!!!!!!!!
hatched a game plan and started amassing stuff

found another set of BBS's,RS001s this time and already in 8" flavour….refinished them a bit at my mates bit

centres,baskets and rings done

but they werent wide enough for the power Im planning…..
more like it

ill continue later as im on nightshift just now and falling asleep typing but one more pic wont hurt for now

battery was dead and the brakes were gone which wasnt a biggie as the brakes are all getting redone for the bigger engine again and the battery is moving inside the car but ten quid of fuel and a three year lay up and it drove

and back to former glory

I had to go away to work again but dougie my mate got started on the prep for the arches

he cut out the front lip so he could try on the front arch too although I had been intending to go gf front wings later anyway

then we trialled on the berg arches

FIA foam filled fuel cell

Swirl pot

and I got another berg kit from NSPlastics again because he had started doing fibreglass wings that incorporated the berg front arch to save trying to blend an arch to a wing

also picked up a dam this time but I still dont know if im going to run it or not

started removing the underseal

got the bulk off it done but ill catch the rest once the tank and axle come off

also started to prepare for the flat floor pan

so cut this bit off

then took time to mock up the wheels again after I got the lips chrome powdered

I say I've got the kit, but I've only got the arches at the mo, will need a front apron eventually. Found a set of bossman WL Motorsport arches on Club GTI for good money so snapped them up.
Glad to see you're not letting work take over your life anyway, definitely keep your threads updated
