Hi all, Im undecided on the new design as of yet. I must admit the site needed a facelift, and it certainly got one! Im sure as I continue to use the forum I will get used to it and probably end up thinking it was better than the original.
Anyway, Im struggling to find information that was easy to find before!
Im looking for a particular thread which was a guide done by a fourm member on Ignition timing for a mk1 GTI. Anyone know where I can find it?? I tried the search function but this only goes back 1 year, and this thread was yonks before that!
Its not just this thread, whenever I was stumped on a problem with my mk1, a quick search in google would throw up hundreds of threads from the mk1 forum posted by fellow members who had the same problem. Now, a google search will not work, the links do not work to the threads from the mk1 forum and Im now finding threads that were once easy to come across now do not even show up at all with a google search. The same goes for all the images too.
Will this eventually become available again? Or is there an archive of all these old threads with invaluble information?! It would be a real shame if these old threads were no longer accessable as they have helped me time and time again, as Im sure they have helped others.
Also, when something is mis-spelt, it is underlined by a red dotted line. Normal, yes, unfortunately now when I right click to correct it, it just offers me a 'paste' option, not options of the correct spelling! Perhaps I should get my dictionary out lol.

Merrily searching away on Google where every forum link I tried returned as broken, hence logging in to site to find out what is happening…
Who is addressing the issue of these broken, perhaps now useless, search engine links?
