We're pleased to announce that we're going to be bringing some major improvements in the coming months to the website, forum & shop, this is your opportunity to let us know what features or improvements you would like to see. We have already identified that we need to improve in the following, so below are a must for us, but we're more than open to your ideas as it's you we're doing it for, in no particular order;
- Improve image upload, this will remove the need of having a Photobucket account and you will be able to upload multiple files at once
- Information architecture - improve the way you see content, redevelopment of the navigation and page structures
- Redesign of entire site, with key focus being the homepage / forum
- Improve the site for mobile and tablet (with login a priority when coming from emails)
- A new shop platform
All ideas are welcome, but lets keep it constructive!
Thanks,
Si

One of the things that niggle me is that I like to change the option of including my signature by default and by that I mean this.
Rather that have the option 'Skip Signature' I'd prefer 'Add Signature'.
Why?
Because 70% of my posts I'm known to the Members and like all signatures (or advertising) after a while people become so used to seeing it that they don't read it anymore!
Yeah it's a minor point but it would save me a lot of time especially on a smartphone messing around to check the box if I remember to do it.
I'd just find it easier to say to myself, Oh must add my signature to this post!
Just a thought.

Could we have under your avatar whether you are online at moment or not, this is a feature on TotalMini forum I have just joined and is really useful to see if someone will be picking up your reply to a post.
It's already there RichardHall
Just hover your mouse over the user-name and it pops-up

It would be good to have location visible, or when selling & buying it shows up in signature or under avatar.
As above, hover over the user name - as long as they've specified their location in their profile.

So, to create a new thread, you just type in the box (like a search box that you'd have at the top of a site for e.g.) plus a drop down menu where you HAVE to select the forum section it's posted in to (so we don't have random posts all over the place.)

No one wants more rules but something that rattles me is the lack of location in lots of profiles, the amount of times we see `where are you located?` after some random post drives me potty. Is there some reason why any member would want to hide the region, even the county would help.
2 tintops.
3 cabbies, 1 with G60 power, just for fun.
Volvo T5, just for fun.
3.1Ltr V6 Dutton Leggera, just for fun.
Renault 5 GT Turbo, just a money pit!
Several boring cars, just no fun!

Is when you see the list of new or updated posts.
You can click one time to jump to the very last and newest entry.
Saves a lot of time if you know the post really well.

Now this is a real pain for Mod's and members alike.
Some way of bringing to the attention of a member who is writing a post about 'Selling' an item that we have Club Rules and ask them to read them and to check that their post conforms with the rules!
Big ask on the second one but it is so frustrating as a Mod on a smartphone having to open up a new tab, to go hunting for the relevant rule and then finally copy the link, and paste it with a comment.
I'm out of breath just thinking about it!
Both would really help but if not doable it's understandable.
Thanks for asking and all the effort the Web Team do behind the scenes!

Can we have page navigation in the forums at the top of the page as well, currently to go to the last post you gave to scroll right down to the bottom.
