FIXED - Chat notifications driving me insane

For the last few days on my iPad, each time I go onto the forum I get the notification below, pressing cancel didn't make any difference it pops up again, and then each time I go to a topic it flashes up again.  I've never used the chat room and dint want to, tried selecting I'm busy, or I'm off-line but no difference and also selected no notifications.

can anyone stop it, happy to not have the chat room feature if that is what it takes.

I have cleared out some caches and reset it.
Let me know if they have stopped

Hi Ade, no still happening, I had to cancel six times to get to this post.

also Ade, forgot to mention think it started when I got a chat invite from Andy Bryan - if I go into my Chat page it still shows as active.

lhasadreams  - Ade not sure if you did anything else but now seemed to have been fixed for last two days -thanks.

Good for you Richard but strangely enough it started to do it again on my iPad from about Tuesday last week.

I'll try my iPad later on today and report back!  

Well I'm back on the iPad and for now the Gremlins seem to have gone away again but if they pop up I'll let you all know.

I've been having this issue too. It's still happening - any clues how I stop it?

And me on my iphone.

I know I've mentioned this a long time ago but I'd like to have the option to turn Chat of completely please.  

I don't use it and in fact I don't really feel I need it.
I mean we contact members in enough ways and each time we do they still receive email notifications, surely that should be enough.

I find that when I'm on my phone I inadvertently touch the chat button.

It maybe a useful add on for some but not me sadly.
No hard feelings!
