Just wanted to check if anybody has received an email as there appears to be other members email addresses in the TO field. Have members details been compromised?

The site had a feature that allowed you to email a member through the site without revealing their email address. Some idiot decided it would be great to spam as many members as they could. I have removed the feature.

Please can you forward what you got to webmaster vwgolfmk1 .org.uk

Sorry that you had to receive the email.

Cheers,
Ade

Those emails did not originate from this site - they would have the Blue Golf as a banner header if they did.
The spammer would not of actually seen anyones email address as the site sent them on behalf of the member, so  all they achieved was spam in your email box - but that capability is no longer active.

Jim it looks like someone has guessed/hacked/cracked your email accounts password. They would then just use email addresses in your address book or from emails that you have sent or received to send out spam on your behalf. I suggest that you change your password if have not already or blow the account away or if you can do neither contact the email account provider to get is closed.

Cheers,
Ade
