Mars red in Torquay

Saw a Red MK1 GTI VTT 949X earlier this evening in Abbey Road in Torquay. Driver was giving it some away from the traffic lights

I saw a black X reg GTI absolutely flying over the ring road towards Torquay the other day! And if you walk along Torbay road in the evenings you are bound to see a young lad fall off his Scooter trying to wheelie off the speedbumps :mrgreen: All good fun!

I was living in sunny Torquay this time last year, was working for the met office in Exeter. Back london way now. my mum still lives down there. when i take my baby down will give ya a shout.

They like there neons and body kits there. Mac D's any one? lol

No neons or bodykits for me  But I know what you mean. Mostly very small engines too :wink:  Be good to see anyone for a chat and a quick look at their motor if they are down this way!

I moved from exeter this time last year! Before I got the Golf though. Had it down a few weeks ago around the old city. I love Exeter such a nice place

yeh its not too bad, can feel like you are out on a limb sometimes though.
i know its not as far as cornwall etc, but you tend tend to be abit isolated from "main events"

 i know of a couple of mk1`s in exeter, there is bdnimmo who is a member of the site, but there are a couple more which i have yet to track down properly let!
 the search continues!

There is a guy called Joe who drives a black mk1 gti, decent guy, loves his mk1s
