But it was broken for spares on ebay earlier this year by a new owner. shame really i sold it in the early 2000 to a VW mechanic.  It had a GTi Engerneering plack on the front panel but the engine had gone pop that's why i brought it. mine was a 5 speed though, thought they all were from 79 on.

I do wish you hadn't posted this!  I have been wanting  a Brazil Brown early cab for ages, just don't have the space to work on it or store all the parts that come with it.

I will now go and kick myself now to save doing it in a few years time when I regret not buying it!

Mine looked great once i had done it, young lad begged and begged me to sell it, so i did, he had it a year or two, maybe longer then he bumped it and i brought it back.
repaired the damage and kept it again.
i have to confess i binned the S1 seats and door cards and fitted so lovely Late clipper trim in a cloth Cream color which really suited the Car, everything else stayed S1 though. was gutted when it went on ebay as breaking, i didn't have the room or the cash to buy it back.
