Mars Red 1983 Campaign on eBay

Is this anyone's on here please? I've had an enquiry from a mate at work asking if it's known down on Hampshire. I don't recognise it personally.
Any help or pointers to the owner would be great. Ta, Dan.

Recognise the registration but think it's from back in the late 80's when in the original Club GTI - might have even been in a magazine or book

No mention of that in the ebay advert. Shouldn't a trader be declaring that??

I saw it the other day on ebay and recognised it. I nearly fell off my chair when it was you that asked about it!
What are the chances?!

I wouldn't touch it with it yours! Someones going to be disappointed if the sale goes through at that price and then finds out what we already know.

Sorry to resurrect. I have to opportunity to buy this for £3500. I've had a good look round it and it's genuine enough with the exeption of the wheels and caps. 10mm P's and stickers on the caps. the rest of the car is as it should be. the repair is not apparent and still has the genuine VAG front panel.
