Low mileage Sportline in my home town!

Bitter sweet this one. Nice car and good to see another so close - however better than mine with that mileage! And has the boot cards I crave!! Arch and filler cap decals missing, no leather steering-wheel (strange considering e/w option is there) and unsure about gearknob and gaitor as knob looks mk2 non GTI to me. Trying to work out if the Sportline decals are ever so slightly too high too but maybe just the angles. Still,  £10 k and standard.

For me the decal is way to high.
I just looked at my friends red one and I think they should be about 1 1/2 inches above the crease and not 3 or more but Shughy will be able to tell us more.

Did you look at the sellers feedback?
I looked at the first page and although it's 100%, it's mostly car parts!  

Add to that what you mentioned about the interior and my gut feeling is telling me something isn't right with this one.

I'm not going to comment of the price because I've been accused in the past of bringing the prices down globally!

Haha! I did have a quick look yeah and messaged him. Could be a trader I guess. The decals indicated a repaint to me. Don't get me wrong mine has had paint on the rear bumper and just above sometime in its life, but the decals that are on mine look as they do in the library shots and have an agreeable patina. I'm a bit of a stickler for detail though at £10k hence my comments. I suppose that they all small need work here and there and mine is no exception. Wouldn't mind seeing it in the flesh.

After closer inspection….more niggles. Original hood - yes but needs work or a new one altogether to make it closer to a 10k car as doesn't sit right over the windows. Also on one of the pics the window etching on the quarter light is clearly a different reg. BBS rims in good nick at a glance but looks like there are chips on the black. I do like it with those miles but I think to make it the car it should be it needs a good grand throwing at it!
