Mk1 Campaign Project

If anyones looking for a project, and you haven't seen this on eBay, here it is..

From the pictures it looks like the scuttle and the roof is rotten. - That's only what's visible!
That asking price is way over if that is the case!

I know MK1s and classic cars in general have been going up £ recently but for that £ I'd want it running , all the same colour, better interior and clinging on to an MOT

I'm not really up to speed on the prices but just noticed a lot of people looking for projects on here, so thought I'd try and help out! Its just that most people will type 'mk1 golf' in eBay, and it doesn't come up under that search. Might of helped someone out, never mind eh..

I wasn't having a pop at Mushroom, more the ebay poster. One of the strengths of this site is the sharing of info and links etc.

As a project its got many redeeming features, appears to be a complete and relatively unmolested Campaign and if genuine mileage many of the mechanicals may be useable without expensive refurbing or replacing. The show stopper for me would be the rotten A-posts and roof, most body shops would be OK with new wings, sills and patching holes here and there but to fix the roof properly would be expensive.
