I know who got it but he's not on here in any capacity other than registering.
His plan is to restore it.

It was for sale for years but was always up for about 3K more than  it was worth. As prices rose so did the selling price.
Until its stripped for restoration nobody will know whether the price it fetched is a fair one.
It seems like a lot of money for a restoration base but I've always said that you should start with the best car you can afford.

It had a replacement engine also, so no longer 'matching numbers'
