Replacing clutch release bearing - questions

Just hoping somebody can confirm I've fitted the correct replacement clutch release bearing in my gearbox…
I removed the standard vw one on the left and replaced with the LUK on on the right. Trouble is the luk appears to be a little deeper?
The Luk has a ridge whilst the vw was slightly thinner in profile and had no top ridge.
It fitted in ok just wanted to hear of others experiences
