i bought a rear brake overhaul kit for an 82 gti tin top.
could anyone help me with a step by step guide or video to change this ?
I Just took off the drum and a couple of springs but the lower one is stubborn.
Any particular order I should do this?

It's all in there…
A tip….. Only do 1 side at a time so you have something to reference when reassembling the shoes.
You don't even attempt to remove the long bottom spring while the shoes are in the drum, you leaver the shoes off the car then remove the bigger springs, You have to push in the turn the clips which hold the shoes on and you may need to hold the pin at the back as it may turn as well? (seen in picture)
Also looks like your inner seal from your rear wheel bearing is still stuck on the axel, that needs to come off and pushed back on the drum.

Occasionally the little silver top cap holding on the spring that holds the shoe plate in place can end up at an angle and catch the something. I think it's a case of take the drum off and check everything is where is should be again.

I have also seen where the shoes are out of position to the backing plate, and not equal, as well as they can be out of position to the wheel cylinder. The cylinder has a protrusion, as well as a recessed side. The Protrusion is infront of the shoe or behind it, and the shoe rides in the recess.
Brake reference photo, notice that the adjuster wedge is down, as these shoes have been on a while, normally on a new shoe installed you see but the spring hole out of the shoe barely below the parallel bar.
