Hi. Can any one help. I'm wanting to fit some porsche 928 alloys. But they are catching on the front struts. They are 16" by 7" wide et65. Can I simply just add spacers or will this upset the track? They current have 20mm spacer-adaptors on to convert from 4 to 5 stud.

Well the 20mm adaptors change the wheels to et45 so I think you will need another 10mm spacers.
Make sure you get longer bolts to match tho.

Great thanks. Would that be front and back or just front? The rears don't catch but are close.

It would depend on what clearance you have from the arch.
Then also what stance you want.
Looks horrible when the front wheels stand out further than the rears.

Rears generally need 10-15mm more spacing than the front to get a good stance.

It's a clipper so has the plastic arches. I want it to run level and with the wheels flush to the arches so it all looks clean down the sides. I was going to fit 195,40,16's. will these have a slight stretch if mounted to 7" wides? Is it looking like I'm going to have to modify the arches?

195 is zero stretch on 7j. You're limited with 16" dia on tyre sizes.
I run 165/45 on 7.5j upfront and love the look. When I ran 7.5x16 all round I had offset of 02 rear and 15 front and it had great stance.
