I have an issue at the moment whereby my golf clipper is lowered on coil overs to such a height that the front anti roll bar is touching the under neath of the car when sat stationary under its own weight.
Are there any modified bars that can be bought that allow for lowering so much or is there a way of modifying anything without cutting notches out of the chassis?
This must be a known issue with workarounds due to the sheer number of people who lower their golfs!
thanks,
Craig

its so low it probably wont have too much affect on the handling anyway, take it off then see how it goes before you spend money

It's a bit floppy even with. Is there a way of stiffening the chassis without the bar? Top strut brace, perhaps? Lower brace?

Lower brace did alot to my cabby to stiffen it up.

the roll bar is there to stop body roll, with it so low your suspension will be a lot stiffer so you'll probably find the roll bar isnt needed so much. proper race cars do without them and run much stiffer suspension, fine on a racetrack but spine shattering on the roads.
stiffening up the shell is a separate issue, for that you would use strut braces upper, lower and rear. the rear is pretty stiff already with the big lump of steel between the towers, but the front is just as wobbly as the tintops. VW factory fitted a lower K shaped bar on the cab and scirocco
