Changed the bushes in my gear linkage today. It's now a lot harder to find gears for no reason. Seems to no longer spring back to neutral easily.
Going to try changing the gearbox oil first, but is there any other reason why a bush upgrade would make the gears so much worse?
I do wonder if the previous owner messed something up. When on neutral, the gear lever is leaning hard to the right, not straight up. When I change to first, I have to push up and left, second is down and right. Meanwhile third and fourth are just straight up from "neutral" which also feels wrong?
Any advise greatly welcome, starting to lose my patience with it.

It may have had the linkage adjusted to compensate for the worn bushes previously
