Brake disc reccomendation

Hi 

I'm currently running some basic discs and pads to my G60 brake setup and was wondering what brand discs and pads everyone is running? 

Doesn't matter if you have the standard GTI setup or the 16v setup it would be good to know what most people reccomend. 

Also do most people opt for grooved or drilled or combi? Or maybe even just plain?

I'm using Bremdo discs and Pagid pads on my standard VWII calipers and found they have a good bite and feel.
I will be buying another set when I come to renew them.

Did you opt for plain discs or are they grooved/drilled?

I'm using standard vented discs.
I've read about problems using drilled and grooved discs as they can crack.

Drilled can crack yes, grooved offer some benefits in certain aplications, some good stuff on YouTube! I have drilled n grooved on my A6 Quattro, but will only go grooved next time.
