Need a supplier
Hi - I have just joined . I have a 1.9 SDI 50bhp VW diesel 2003 from VW marine which is fitted to my narrowboat . The fuel cut-off solenoid needs replacing but VW don't offer it as a replacement part . I don't need a new pump - lot of money !!! Manual shows part number 065 130 135 BUT also states that it is not available separately .
So there must be somewhere that supplies these solenoids OR refurbishes the fuel pumps .
Any ideas please
Andy

They are a separate item.
I found one at Hans Auto parts, but he is sort of sketchy
I think that if you find a good diesel injection pump rebuilder, they have that separately.
When ever I had issues with my Diesel, I usually went and talked to the Rebuilder shop in my town. Got a lot of good info from them…. and a few parts cheaper than the VW dealer.
When I suspected an issue, I usually would take it out.
Then place it across the battery to verify that worked correctly that is draws in and out. Then cleaned the bejeezers out of it with a electrical spray cleaner, and polished the solenoid, and it usually worked fine. If you aren't getting power to it, then that could be an issue that you can find out with a DVOM.
